Etnoteam

The merger of Etnoteam S.p.A. in Value Team S.p.A., effective from 1st June 2008, completes the integration process that began a year earlier: a success story that has already been confirmed, under the operational and market perspective, by the outstanding results achieved in 2007. The merger established a single organisation also from the corporate structure point of view.

Etnoteam was established in Milan in 1978 and from the very beginning specialised in open systems of the UNIX family and in distributed systems based on local networks of personal computers, combining the consultancy component in engineering and in the quality of the software with the engineering and development of embedded software for real-time systems, to then develop into one of the major Italian organisations for the implementation and management of solutions in Information & Communication Technology.

Etnoteam participated in setting up I.NET in 1994, the first Italian Internet Service Provider totally dedicated to Business customers. Etnoteam maintained the majority shareholding in I.NET until control of the company was sold to a company of the British Telecommunications Plc group in September 1999. I.NET has been listed on the ‘Nuovo Mercato’ (New Market) since 4th April 2000.
Etnoteam sold the remaining stake in I.NET to BT in February 2007. Etnoteam acquired E-TREE in 1999, an organisation that focuses strongly on innovation, engineering and the implementation of web applications, E-TREE was then integrated within Etnoteam in 2006. Today, E-TREE represents the competence centre dedicated to innovative solutions for interaction design.

Etnoteam acquired NETikos in 2004, a company specialising in wireless and multi-channel technologies, with unique expertise in the VAS field, in the integration of business critical systems and in technological consultancy referred to the telephone operators and corporate market. NETikos was merged with Etnoteam in 2008. The billing competence centre is located in Pisa, the centre of excellence for mobile technologies and user experience is located in Helsinki, and consultancy referred to the telephone operators and corporate market. Etnoteam was acquired by Value Team at the beginning of 2007, and the operational, organisational and go-to-market integration began in April, with the adoption of the unified business model. Roberto Galimberti historical Shareholder and Chairman, and has accompanied this development as Deputy-Chairman of Etnoteam before, and of Value Team today.
